We recieve money from local parishes and the Diocese to cover expenses but it doen't cover our program expenses. Program expenses are weekly meals, retreats, costs to bring in speakers, books and printed matter, and taking trips. Also there is a Chaplains discretionary account to be used for student emergencies.

If you would like to donate here is an idea of what your donation will directly fund:

$180.00 Sunday home cooked dinner for 20-30 students. These meals are prepared by volunteers from local parishes and are high quality.

$200.00 Pays for a student to spend a weekend at a local monastery. These are wonderful weekends and allow an introduction to religious life and are a great chance for students to bond and share with one another their spirtual journeys.

$50.00 helps pay for books and other printed matter for our study courses.

These are just sample costs but we appreciate any support you might offer. Your donations should be sent to the Diocese of New York with NYU Campus Ministry in the subject line. All donations are restricted and tax deductible.

other things we need right now

We could really use anupright pianoin decent shape. Although we have use of an organ a piano would allow us more flexibility in terms of using the space well and expanding our repetiore. If you can help please email the Chaplain.

We need any used kitchen equiptment: an old mixer, a blender. Old glasses anf flatware also needed. Our dinners use washable utensils and plates to cut back on waste.
